  • 1 cup warm water 105-115°F
  • 1 tsp granulated sugar
  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast 1 packet
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour plus more for dusting
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp vanilla bean paste

Cinnamon-Sugar Layer:

  • 4 Tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp ground cinnamon

Cinnamon Crumb Topping:

  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup 1 stick unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Vanilla Bean Glaze:

  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 3-4 Tbsp milk or heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla bean paste

Instructions

  • Vanilla Bean Pizza Dough: In a small bowl, combine warm water and sugar. Sprinkle yeast over the water and let stand for 5-10 minutes, or until foamy. In a large bowl, whisk together flour and salt. Add the foamy yeast mixture, olive oil, and vanilla bean paste to the flour. Mix until a shaggy dough forms. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes, or until smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, turning to coat. Cover with plastic wrap or a clean kitchen towel and let rise in a warm place for 1-1.5 hours, or until doubled in size. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Punch down the dough and roll it out onto a lightly floured surface to form a 16-inch circle. Transfer the dough to a greased 16-inch pizza pan or baking sheet.
  • Cinnamon-Sugar Layer: Brush the melted butter evenly over the pizza dough. Sprinkle the brown sugar and cinnamon evenly over the buttered dough.
  • Cinnamon Crumb Topping: In a medium bowl, combine flour, rolled oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Cut in cold butter using a pastry blender or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in chocolate chips. Sprinkle the crumb topping evenly over the cinnamon-sugar layer.
  • Bake: Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the topping is set.
  • Vanilla Bean Glaze: While the pizza is baking, prepare the glaze. In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk or cream, and vanilla bean paste until smooth and creamy. Add more liquid if needed to achieve desired consistency.
  • Assemble: Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool slightly. Drizzle the vanilla bean glaze evenly over the warm pizza. Slice and serve immediately.
