About Me
Hello, my name is Cameron, and I’m a seasoned chef with 13 years of experience in the culinary industry. While I currently work at a preschool, my career has taken me to various culinary setting. I hold a bachelor’s degree in culinary management from the International Culinary School at the Art Institute of California- Sacramento, which sadly isn’t around anymore.
Growing up, I was a notoriously picky eater and so when I told my family that I wanted to go to culinary school they were very shocked. My family, a sports-enthusiast famiy, was often on the go because me and my brothers were always playing sports, leaving me to fend for myself in the kitchen. Despite my initial reluctance, I gradually discovered a passion for cooking. Inspired by the Food Network, I began experimenting with recipes, starting with the humble meatball.
My first culinary breakthrough came when I decided to reinvent the classic meatball. After extensive research, I developed my own recipe, which quickly became a family favorite. This success ignited my desire to pursue a career in cooking.
Over the years, I’ve continued to explore new flavors and culinary techniques. I enjoy creating bold, innovative dishes that defy conventional expectations. My family tries to get together for dinner every Saturday for dinner and most of the time I cook or make desserts. I try a new recipe every time I do cook or make desert and my family serves as my guinea pigs, always eager to try my latest creations.
I specialize in global fusion cuisine, creating unique and innovative dishes that you won’t find anywhere else. My culinary experiments often surprise even my own mother, who, despite her initial skepticism, knows I have a knack for transforming unconventional flavor combinations into delicious meals.
I believe that food should be an adventure, a journey of taste and discovery. My goal is to share my passion for unique flavors and culinary artistry with the world.
How the Blog Came About
The seed for this blog was planted by my wife’s brilliant food truck concept. While I had always dreamed of owning my own food truck since culinary school, I struggled to come up with a unique idea. My wife’s suggestion was a game-changer: a crowd-sourced menu that rotated regularly. We envisioned a food truck called (Fill In The Blank) Food Truck.
Inspired by this concept, and encouraged by my family’s years of urging me to share my recipes, I decided to create a food recipe blog. The food truck idea provided a solid foundation for the blog, allowing me to maintain a consistent brand identity. So (Fill In The Blank) Recipes was born.
